1020 Builders were tasked with major interior renovations, including the removal of the swimming pool and restoration of that area to place a new gym, the conference rooms were renovated, as well as the bar and restaurant, cafe, common areas, and rooms.

THE WORK: The difficulty with this project was performing major renovations during occupancy. The hotel, situated on the Washington DC metro line is used primarily for business and is at full capacity at most times. While performing renovations, we created curtained areas that matched the decor of the hotel’s interior but also masked construction mess, noise, and dust. Our crews employed clean up crews to be on site daily in order to mitigate dust and debris and our construction crews worked on a rotating schedule with the hotel management so that work matched the hotel’s schedule, construction could be completed on time and the noise would not disturb guests.
